FINALITÀ

To understand the Muslims, their history and their religion, Islam, in the light of the foundational texts and sources, as well as through the ways in which these texts and sources have been interpreted in history.

ARGOMENTI

1. Why study Islam today? Who is a Muslim? The history of the Muslims from Muhammad until today. Islam: faith and practice, with a particular focus on getting to know the Quran. Muslims today: their diversity, their encounter with modernity and the engagement in interreligious dialogue.
