Ministero liturgico e omiletica RA0703

Sede di Gerusalemme
Secondo semestre

The first part of the course (Liturgical Ministry) aims to bring the students to a qualified celebration of the sacred mysteries and Christian rites, combining sacramental principles and liturgical practice. In view of their future pastoral work as Church leaders and spiritual educators, this course wishes to help them to perform a celebration not merely as prescribed rituals, but as actions that illuminate fundamental relationships among human beings and between them and God. The general concern is then to enhance the quality of their celebrations. This objective will be met by means of the following learning activities: 1. Attendance at lessons. 2. Expositions by the professor. 3.Practical exercises in the liturgical celebrations. Homiletics: With the objective of training the participants to write and deliver effective homilies, the course will focus on hands-on training.

Preparation and celebration of sacraments and sacramentals, with a particular focus on the presiding role, especially for Baptism, Eucharist, Penance, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick, Funeral Rites and Blessings. Learning Outcomes: After completion of this course, the student will be able to: Know, appreciate, preach and live out God's Word with the aid of a biblical worldview, a faithful interpretive community, and a disciplined Christian life. Broadly, objectively, critically, precisely and clearly understand or articulate knowledge from the various theological disciplines - essentially biblical, historical, liturgical, pastoral and cultural, etc., with details, concepts, and frameworks that consider the nature and context of the assembly. Deepen his communication skills (through listening, speaking, writing, media, and other means) so as to offer a tasty, lively, effective and appropriate measure of the Word of God to the flock entrusted to him as a shepherd, as well as engaging the Church with the world.
